NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ENTERPRISE ZONE DESIGNATION

THE VILLAGE OF ALSIP, THE CITY OF BLUE ISLAND, THE VILLAGE OF CALUMET PARK, THE CITY OF COUNTRY CLUB HILLS, THE VILLAGE OF DIXMOOR, THE VILLAGE OF EAST HAZEL CREST, THE VILLAGE OF HOMEWOOD, THE CITY OF HARVEY, THE VILLAGE OF HAZEL CREST, THE CITY OF MARKHAM, THE VILLAGE OF MERRIONETTE PARK, THE CITY OF OAK FOREST, THE VILLAGE OF PHOENIX, THE VILLAGE OF ROBBINS, THE VILLAGE OF WORTH, THE VILLAGE OF MIDLOTHIAN, and THE COUNTY OF COOK provide this Notice of Public Hearing concerning the intent of the above Municipalities and County to apply for an Enterprise Zone designation pursuant to the Illinois Enterprise Zone Act, 20 ILCS 655/ 1 et seq, to be awarded by the State of Illinois in 2015. The name of the proposed enterprise zone would be the Cal Sag Enterprise Zone.

Public Notice is hereby given that said Municipalities and County will hold a joint public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on October 30, 2014 at, the offices of the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association, 1904 W. 174th Street, East Hazel Crest, Illinois 60429. The reason for this public hearing is to identify the purpose of the proposed Enterprise Zone, describe the boundaries of the zone, and identify the local plans, tax incentives and other information that will be established if the State of Illinois awards an Enterprise Zone designation to the aforementioned Municipalities and County. The public is invited to attend this public hearing and will be allowed to speak and make comments as to their views and concerns regarding the proposed Enterprise Zone.
